Dear All,

Mountain Meitheal South East ("MMSE") next Work Day is this coming Saturday, July 21st where we will be continuing our work on the Galty Castle/King's Yard track, South Side of the Galtees (Exit 12 off the M8). Our meeting place will be Kilbehenny Community Centre at 10.15am sharp.

If anyone is interested in becoming a member, email or text the contact below and a renewal form will be sent. We are always looking for new volunteers (over the age of eighteen) to assist us with our work. New volunteers wishing to participate may do so on three work days, after which, for Mountaineering Ireland (MI) insurance reasons, you are required to become a member of Mountain Meitheal (MM), if not already a member. Hands on training is provided and volunteers are not expected to work beyond their capabilities. There is plenty of "light" work to be done as well as the heavy work. Our work schedule is usually from March to November, for five hours, one day a month so come out and join us for a professional but fun-filled work day giving something back to the hills.

Also attached is our Work Schedule for the year. Click here to Download.

Come prepared for a day in the hills, be prepared for all weathers, for safety and comfort wear appropriate footwear. A packed lunch is advisable, including a hot drink. A change of clothes is recommended for the homeward journey. Bring gardening gloves if you have them; otherwise they will be supplied. For this track we would also recommend you bring a pair of wellingtons in the wet weather as it is rather muddy!
